Sustainability is far more than a buzzword – it is a guiding principle for a liveable future. As resources become scarcer and environmental pressures increase, two concepts are gaining particular importance: resource conservation and the circular economy.
Resource conservation focuses on reducing the consumption of natural raw materials – for example through the use of green electricity or photovoltaic systems. The circular economy aims to keep materials in use for as long as possible, prioritising reuse, repair and recycling over a throwaway mindset.
Since 1 January 2025, we have been sourcing green electricity from E.ON Energie Deutschland GmbH for our production sites at Industriestraße 4 and Industriestraße 19 in Blomberg.
As part of a contractual amendment, we have committed ourselves to using electricity from renewable sources until the end of 2026 – a conscious decision to substantially contribute to climate protection.
By switching to green electricity, we are able to save up to 156,000 kg of CO₂ per year, based on an annual electricity consumption of approximately 400,000 kWh.
